The first question you may be asking is what would I gain from conducting a strategic planning session? The answer is simple, what ever you are willing to put into it. As companies grow or organizations age the mission and the message can get lost in the whirlwind that service industries can often become.
How does it work? Depending on the size of your company and the depth you would like take it this could be up to a two day initial session with follow up meetings and calls going well into the future. Our belief is that if a company has chosen to make the investment in the strategic planning process, it is our duty to see it through and ensure that organization is seeing results.
What does it entail? A deep dive into your landscape company. Interviews with key stakeholders and team members to compile data and look for trends within the company. Meeting with field staff, management and executive/ownership team to achieve buy in and align company goals within the organization. SWOT Analysis and Root Cause Analysis exercises with the team. Deciding on a short, medium and long term vision for the company and who the champions will be to lead it to victory.
Why should you do this? We believe that an external change agent being introduced into an organization can bring a fresh perspective to that team and ask provocative questions that get to the heart of issues. Our passion is organizational development and the journey to setting and achieving goals starts at the planning session.
